The Costa Calida/Murcia regionCosta Calida means "warm coast", and it is. With it's 315 days of sunshine, it's an ideal location for a well deserved holiday.
It's about 250km in length, reaching from the city of El Mojon, just south of the province Alicante, to the border of Andalucia, near the town of Áquilas. This coastal area offers a lot. From the exciting Mar Menor ('the smaller sea'), where the water is an average of 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the mediterranean sea, to the quiet beaches in the Mazarrón region.

The many sandy beaches make the Costa Calida a very popular holiday destination, not in the least for the spanish themselves. This coast offers lots of possiblities: you can learn to sail, scuba-dive or just relax in the healing mudbaths. There are also several golfcourses in the area.
Are you looking for some excitement? Visit one of the 3000 fiestas of Spain.

Spain has a very rich and interesting history. Like the city of Cartagena, with several archeological sites, like the roman theatre, or visit one of the museums. At he coast there are numerous bars and discotheques. These are open from the beginning of june to the beginning of september. The typically spanish tapa-bars are open all year round.

Mazarron / Camposol area

Mazarrón is an upcoming area with regard to tourism. It's relatively quiet in the winter and gets busier in the summer when the Spanish enjoy their holiday at one of the many beaches.
Just a few kilometers from the coast lies the old spanish town Mazarrón. The history of Mazarrón goes way back in time, due to the healthy climate and the lead- and silvermines. It were the romans who, by exploiting these mines, gave prosperity to this region.

In the area of Mazarrón there are several hikingtrails. The routes near the old mines can be dangerous, because of the old shafts.

In the coastal town of Puerto de Mazarrón there are several sandy beaches, which are relatively quiet, except for the summer. At several places in Puerto de Mazarrón you can practice surfing, jetskiing and scuba-diving. In Bolnuevo, a town next to Puerto de Mazarrón, there are several nudist-beaches.

Camposol
This villa is situated in an Urbanisation called Camposol, approx. 5 minutes from Mazarrón. There are several bars, a bank, shops and restaurants within a 3 minutes drive.
Within walking distance you will find the 18 hole golfcourse. The golfclub also offers great (spanish) food at low prices and provides good night time entertainment.
How to get there

Good carhire from Murcia or Alicante airport, try www.amigoautos.com or www.carjet.com Carhire can also be arranged locally on the Camposol development.
Taxi can be arranged in advance from either Murcia airport for 40euros or 70euros round trip and Alicante airport 50euros or 90euros round trip.

Directions to Camposol from Alicante Airport
From Alicante Airport look for motorway A-7/E15 and head towards Murcia (tollfree).
As you approach Murcia, follow the sign for Almeria and Granada (Be
carefull to take the right hand lane when you head for Almeria/Granada). This
road is the N340/E15. Take the exit 617 (Mazarrón). At the top of the exit turn left. Follow the RM-3 to Mazarrón. On this motorway you take the exit Urbanización Camposol.

Directions to Camposol from Murcia - San Javier Airport
From Murcia San Javier airport head for the motorway and go towards
Cartagena (AP7). Follow this motorway (approx.25km) and take the exit 'Murcia'-
A30. Follow the A30 and take the exit 'Santa Ana'. Go straight ahead towards
Fuente Alamo (MU602). Keep following the MU602, don't enter Fuente Alamo
and ignore the signs 'Mazarron'. Pass the village Cuevas de Reyllo and after a
short while, take the exit 'Las Canovas' and 'Mazarron' (E11). Follow this road
until you come to the large roundabout with the exit to Mazarron (MU603). Follow
the signs Mazarron. This road leads onto the motorway RM-3 to Mazarrón. On this motorway you take the exit Urbanización Camposol.

The beach, shops, bars and restaurants are all within a 10-minute walk. 
The apartment is furnished in a comfortable, contemporary style and is spacious, light and airy. There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a bathroom, a lounge/dining room and a kitchen. In the underground parking there is an allocated space, and there is a lift from the parking to the front door.
For wonderful summer living, there is a balcony accessed from the living room and double bedroom, plus a fantastic 56sqm private roof terrace, accessed from the living room. This has sea and mountain views, as well as sun loungers for relaxing the day away. A covered pergola also provides shade for dining.
The Apartment block also has a large communal pool, with a special divided shallow area for younger children. There are changing rooms, showers and toilets beside the pool, as well as plenty of space for lounging.

The Costa Calida/Murcia regionThe Costa Calida (warm coast) in Spain is bathed by the calm, warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Almost 90% of the year the sun is shining and the annual average temperature here is between 16 and 20 degrees Centigrade. During the summer temperatures rarely fall below 30C, and winters are typically very mild around 16c.

The province of Murcia is famous for its salt lakes affecting humidity levels, and as a result the air is much dryer than other parts of Spain and Europe. The low humidity levels (less bites) together with the mild weather make the climate one of the healthiest climates on the planet as rated by the World Health Organization.

Isla Plana area

Isla Plana is a beautiful coastal fishing village with a mountaneous backdrop.

There are plenty of activities to keep everybody entertained including a local dive school, boat trips from the port, golf at Camposol, walking in the mountains, horse riding, snorkelling, or just relaxing on the beautiful, unspoilt, uncrowded sandy beaches which are surely amongst the best in southern Spain etc


This is a two bedroom appartment first floor with a large terrace and solarium,  It is only about two minutes walk to the beach with local shops and good restaurants nearby easy stroll.  There is no swimming pool of air conditioning but I do have sky TV and ceiling fans.
